A few things to consider when choosing the best paper for Copic markers: Smooth, white card stock with tight fibers will be the easiest to test. A textured paper will provide little “trails” in which the ink can flow past a stamped, printed or drawn line.

For these markers to blend properly, the paper needs to be absorbent; however, this means that they will bleed through to the other side.

Be careful of papers that are too absorbent though--they will cause the ink in the markers to dry out faster.
